What:
Through the vision, talent and personal art collection of actor Cheech Marin, the Chicano Visions: American Painters on the Verge art exhibition opens in Fort Lauderdale as part of a national tour traveling to major cities throughout the U.S. Presented by Target and sponsored by the Hewlett-Packard Company, Chicano Visions, curated by René Yañez, features artwork from masters of Chicano painting such as Carlos Almaraz, Patssi Valdez, Carmen Lomas Garza and Margaret García.

Chicano Visions, presented by Target and sponsored by Hewlett-Packard, is an art exhibition that showcases traditional artwork that displays the voices of American artists growing up Chicano. The exhibition will be on display at the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale from November 18, 2006 through May 1, 2007. Target gives back more than $2 million a week to local communities through grants and special programs like Chicano Visions.
